How do you see the market research industry evolving and how can you contribute to it?

There are so many new and exciting things happening in the market research industry right now. There are innovative and creative ways, in not only reaching the desired population, but also in the way that questions and surveys are designed. These methods also present themselves with challenges. With this said, I feel that as an enthusiastic and creative individual I will be able to contribute in both the upcoming excitement and the challenges that lay ahead.

What are in your opinion the necessary skills for market researchers in the present environment?

Effective and efficient communication is vital in the research industry. It is utilized in many different ways, such as connecting with clients and co-workers, as well as properly articulating main research objectives and findings in proposals and reports. Organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are also necessary. Overall, I feel that through dedication, a desire to learn and a true fondness for research, one will succeed in this industry.

How do you see your career unfolding and what are your aspirations?

Although I am new to the research industry, I cannot envision myself doing anything but. What I particularly enjoy about the research field is that there are a variety of opportunities and directions that one may pursue. This industry is constantly changing, which contributes to a continuous learning environment, as well as a challenging career. I aspire to be successful in the research industry, but also wish that in the future my research will contribute to this dynamic and evolving industry.
