FUTURE TALENT MEETS THE INDUSTRY
What is it?
ESOMAR has developed a programme aimed at encouraging the brightest students to enter the industry and to start a dialogue between University and Business school professors. This highly successful initiative has extended many invitations to students around the world with many more nominations coming in constantly.
For professors
Professors are given the opportunity to recommend students to participate at our events, with the purpose of meeting the industry, experiencing the practical world of market research and the real world issues that are being faced by companies. Professors are also encouraged to attend the ESOMAR events and hear the latest thinking within the market research business environment, participate in the debates and discussions and meet the industry leaders in a personal and stimulating environment.
Are you interested in attending ESOMAR events? Flat rates are now available.
Register at a flat rate of € 720 (members and non-members). To be eligible for the special rate, full time academics must fall within the following definition:
A full time academic is a person who works as a researcher (and usually teacher) at a university, college, or similar institution in post-secondary (tertiary) education.
The offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or campaign of ESOMAR. If you would like to become an ESOMAR member, the normal membership rate applies (€ 360). ESOMAR has developed a validation process for full time academics who are interested in taking up the offer.
For students
We want to show that the business dynamics require a market research profile which is not only rigorous and based on knowledge of methodologies and statistics but also needs skills that prepare new comers in this industry to handle the complexities of everyday business. ESOMAR Events are also a great opportunity to learn and to allow students to get in touch with industry experts and their companies worldwide.
How is this done?
Professors are being asked to nominate promising students to participate in international ESOMAR Events being held around the world. During the conference, students are given the opportunity to meet industry leaders, form a network and gain learning and understanding by attending the sessions.
For each conference, we would like to invite a selected few promising students to act as Networking facilitators means that students would be asked to cooperate with ESOMAR staff in facilitating networking requests made by speakers, delegates and exhibitors (e.g.) If delegate X would like to meet speaker Y they could ask the students to help. General “running and paging” would be expected of the students. Students will be able to attend sessions as well as network with participants, the ESOMAR team and with each other.networking facilitators.
