ESOMAR PRESIDENT

Frits Spangenberg

Non-executive Director at Motivaction International BV in the Netherlands

Frits Spangenberg founded Motivaction International, a quantitative and qualitative research agency in 1984. He recently stepped down to become a non executive Director, to be able to focus on not-for-profit assignments. He is an advisor to the Dutch government and regularly appears on TV and in the print media.

An ESOMAR member since 1977, he has been a programme committee member and a speaker at various events. He was an ESOMAR Council member from 2002 to 2004 and Vice President from 2005 to 2006.

Commenting on his election, Frits Spangenberg said “It is a great privilege to have been elected ESOMAR President.  In our ever faster changing society, research is becoming more and more important and we need to give an even greater priority to the role of the client, and to strengthening industry standards and performance. More than ever social responsibility and freedom of information are key attention areas. I look forward to modernising the organisation further as well as its governance structure in line with membership requirements and in close cooperation with Council and the ESOMAR Management.”
