ESOMAR President: Gunilla Broadbent

President, GB Global Positioning, Europe & USA

Gunilla Broadbent, has spent her entire career working globally and feels equally at home in Europe, the Americas and Asia. Currently she splits her time between Europe and the US. She founded Worldwide Services BAIGlobal in USA and was its president until in 1999 it was sold to what became Synovate. Since then she has been Senior Vice President at Synovate, USA, and President of GB Global Positioning, Europe & USA.

An ESOMAR member since 1981, she was a programme committee member for the Global Cross Industry Forum 2003 and 2005 and ESOMAR representative in USA for six years. She has been Council member from 2003 to 2008, Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee from 2004 to 2008 and a member of the Governance Working Party.

Commenting on her election, Gunilla Broadbent said “I am very much looking forward to working with the Management Team and the Council to enhance and strengthen ESOMAR’s leadership role and to promote self regulation and professional standards across the world. The year ahead will be a challenging one; however it is also an opportune time for the industry to show the value of market research in driving good business decisions in a tough economic climate.”
