Jon Pinnell

President & COO, MarketVision Research, USA

Jon Pinnell is President and Chief Operating Officer of MarketVision Research. Jon leads the firm's Marketing Sciences Group. Jon's areas of expertise and research interest include the application of quantitative techniques to marketing models of decision making, especially those areas relating to brand and category choice decisions.

Jon is actively involved in pioneering advanced research methods. Recently, Jon served as the lead research scientist with the Center for Research on Electronic Commerce at the University of Texas at Austin to measure the impact of the internet on the United States economy. Jon was a co-recipient, with Valentine Appel, of the Richard Lysaker Award, presented by the Advertising Research Foundation for the best new research on media.

Jon is a frequent conference presenter and has also served as an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Marketing Research. He regularly conducts tutorials and workshops on advanced quantitative research techniques, including discrete choice modeling, for the AMA's Advanced Research Techniques Forum, ESOMAR, Sawtooth Software, and for private clients.
