Paul Birkett

Against the explicit wishes of his parents, Paul began his marketing career at the tender age of 14, selling sponges from a market stall in Dublin's inner city. Several businesses later, after a degree in Marketing and a stint as a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman in California, he got his first proper job in the marketing department of Procter & Gamble UK.
After four years on glamour brands like Fairy Liquid, Flash Household Cleaner and Sunny Delight, he joined PepsiCo where, for the last 11 years, he has headed up marketing for the UK, served as General Manager for Ireland and led the early efforts to unify the face that Pepsi, Walkers and Tropicana presented to key customers.
In his current role, he leads PepsiCo's Global Intelligence Division.
This new division helps PepsiCo understand its global audience better and deliver new product initiatives with global potential.
