The John Downham Award


Who is eligible?

Any individual or organisation, member or non-member of ESOMAR, is eligible for the award.

Note: current ESOMAR council members are not eligible for the award. 


Who can nominate?

Nominations must be made by an ESOMAR member. 


How to submit a nomination

Fill in the online nomination form. The nominations will be judged on the basis of a written submission of no more than 750 words based on SMART criteria. 

The submission must clearly articulate how the initiative or achievement created a successful outcome and a positive impact on the profession.


How will the winner be selected?

The submissions will be considered by a panel of specialists who will select a shortlist of three finalists plus one in reserve.  The final selection will be made by an international jury of five industry leaders that will be chaired by the President or Vice President of ESOMAR. If no finalists are judged to attain the requisite standard, the Jury shall be free to award no prize at all.
