Stan Knoops

Director Sensory & Consumer Insights Asia Pacific, International Flavors & Fragrance, Singapore

After finishing the studies in Food Science and Food & Marketing, Stan Knoops studied economics at the University of Groningen, graduating with a specialization in both research methodology and consumer behaviour. During his education he worked at Hallam University in the UK and Cornell University in the US. From 1996 to 2002, Stan has held positions at OP&P Product Research and the Department of Marketing and Consumer Behaviour (University of Wageningen). He drove an array of innovative projects, such as linking consumer with sensory research, internet research and database development. In July 2002, Stan specialized in fragrance research when he joined IFF International Flavour & Fragrances in the Netherlands, managing the European market research team. His current role is Director Sensory & Consumer Insights Fragrances Asia and India based in Singapore and he is managing the global strategic research projects for detergents.
