The company

ESOMAR, the world association of research professionals founded in 1948, unites over  5,000 members - both users and providers of opinion and market research - in 100 countries. ESOMAR’s mission is to promote the use of research into markets, consumers and societies for improving decision making in business and society world-wide and illuminating real issues.

To facilitate this ongoing dialogue, ESOMAR creates and manages a comprehensive programme of industry-specific and thematic conferences, publications and communications as well as actively advocating self-regulation and the worldwide code of practice.

All ESOMAR members, as well as their company contact details, are listed in the ESOMAR Directory. Members agree to abide by the ICC/ESOMAR International Code of Marketing and Social Research Practice, which has been jointly drafted by ESOMAR and the International Chamber of Commerce and is adopted or endorsed by the major national professional bodies around the world.

ESOMAR’s key activities are:

  • Development of the International Code of Marketing Research in conjunction with the ICC;
  • Publication of  a Directory of Members;
  • Professional standards advisory service for market research issues, codes and guidelines and legislation;
  • Publication of the monthly magazine “Research World”;
  • Lobbying at international level with legislators and other research industry stakeholders;
  • Organisation of the annual Congress, one of  the largest market research events in the world;
  • Development and organisation of conferences, workshops and training for professional development;
  • Knowledge centre with books, CD-roms and educational materials;
  • Publication of Global Industry Reports;
  • Driving the World Industry Network (WIN) and Developing Talent initiatives.

With increasing competition of national research organisations as well as private client (multinational companies), ESOMAR has considerably strengthened the team, in order to develop professionalism and diversity in the service offering.

The position

  • Content maintenance of the ww.esomar.org website according to internal needs
  • Development of additional content and new functionalities integrating internal requirements and coordinating the work of an external provider
  • Support on online marketing activities
  • Support on web reports production

The Candidate

Professional skills

  • Proficiency in English (written/spoken)
  • PC fluency
  • advanced web user
  • solid knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience on website’s maintenance
  • Previous experience with several CMS a plus
  • HTML editing (Dreamweaver or other similar software)
  • Image editing (Photoshop or other similar software)
  • FTP publishing
  • Previous experience on online marketing a plus
  • Previous experience on web analytic tools a plus

  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • Dynamic and pro-active
