Chris Dobson
Vice President Global Sales, Microsoft Online Services Group
Chris is responsible for all global advertising sales across the recently formed Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions network incorporating MSN®, Live.com, Office Online, Office Live, Microsoft.com, Xbox®, Microsoft TV, Massive and mobile content.
In this role, Chris focuses on delivering advertisers worldwide with industry leading ad solutions; providing truly engaging and compelling experiences for consumers; continuing to build strong relationships with advertisers and agencies and cementing online’s position in the industry as a true media platform.
Previously, Dobson served as General Manager, Digital Marketing Sales and Trade Marketing for the international arm of MSN. He also pioneered the development of MSN’s popular communication services - MSN Hotmail and MSN Messenger, into advertising platforms for advertisers.
Prior to joining MSN in November 2001, Chris was European Business Development Director at Zenith Media Worldwide.
Dobson started his career in the automotive industry with Land Rover before moving to media sales in UK national television. He then switched to pan-regional TV working for MTV Networks Europe where he was responsible for a number of major clients including Coca-Cola, Proctor and Gamble, British Airways and Nestle.
Dobson graduated from Sussex University with a degree in Biology. He is based in the UK where he lives with his wife and son.
