This case study focused on the US presidential campaign of Barack Obama describes an online qualitative research project that used innovative sampling, longitudinal interviewing, and new technologies for online research: mobile research, multimedia web conferencing interviewing, and voice analysis.
Ron Riley
Ron Riley is a principal at Innovation River, a market insights-based innovation consultancy. Ron also founded Channel M2, the pioneer in online multimedia qualitative research, since 2004. Ron has presented to ARF, ESOMAR, QRCA, DMA, and PMRG, and led several week-long seminars on market research skills. He has provided survey and qualitative research to several major corporations and the US presidential campaigns of Mondale/Ferraro and Gary Hart. Ron began his market research career in 1983. His interests include innovation and online research technologies (multimedia interviewing and voice analysis).
