Change is in the air...
STOCKHOLM / 4 - 6 MAY
Keynote: Walter Naeslund - Truth, transparency, and the death of privacy
Walter NaeslundAbstract
What has sex got to do with modern communications strategy? Why are our brains so big? What can Facebook users learn from the early development of civilization, and why does this contradict the privacy movement? In this talk I will make the case for how marketing just got easier, and why people find that so hard to believe.
And by the way – can it be that honesty is the killer app of social media?

I've been passionate about digital communications since the 80's when me and my brother ran a BBS back home in the house where I grew up. It's been a part of my life ever since, but I've developed an increasing interest for the psychology of communication over time.
My education includes a Master of Science degree in media technology from Linköping Institute of Technology, business and economics schooling from Lund University, a two year advertising & copywriting diploma from Berghs School of Communication, and countless psychology books that I've fallen in love with on my own.
Professionally, I've worked with trend analysis, brand identity, advertising, and communications strategy with focus on social media for clients ranging from WeSC, Propellerhead and Spotify to, ICA, OLW, Intrum Justitia, The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundations, and many others.
While I don't believe that social media is everything, I suggest that it fundamentally changes the playing field for every other type of media.
