How do you see the market research industry evolving and how can you contribute to it?
The market research area has been making critical and crucial progress and contribution to the market and business. Although the financial crisis may have negative impacts on this to some extent recently, it still plays an important role of promoting our market and digging out the present potential needs of consumers.
Especially in china we market research industry has been developed for more than 20 years and gradually meeting the professional standards, I'm now studying the major of communication in Survey and Statistics Institute with my tutor Huixin KE. I've been experienced 4 projects and participated in lots of on- and out-campus activities, which equipped me with the abilities of paying attention to details, working independently, communication and cooperation to contribute to market research field.
What are in your opinion the necessary skills for market researchers in the present environment?
The present environment seems not to be very bright and helpful, however, I believe both the awareness of survey and research and attention to detail essential would be of great importance to market researchers in the present environment. The more complicated and mysterious the environment turns out to be, the more aware we researchers should be and more attentions to details should be paid in order to figure out whether there's a market.
How do you see your career unfolding and what are your aspirations?
The motivation for me to turn me major from Journalism undergraduate to Communication now, Market Research to be precise, is mainly the interests of market research and business. Till now I has participated in 4 related projects of SSI and shown me passion and competence with the aim of developing a career and becoming an expert in this area.
