Background information

Parissa is the managing director and co-founder of Bazaar Negar marketing research agency in Iran with 35 years of experience in this field, 25 of which has been in the management positions. Born in Iran and educated in France, she received her diploma in psychology from Sorbonne University Rene Descartes in Paris. After working in the field of marketing research for close to 10 years in Paris (in ISL now part of GfK) she returned to Iran to establish the first marketing research agency in that country.
Her expertise is in the area of qualitative studies; in fact she pioneered focus group discussions in Iran and has since managed over 1200 different Qualitative studies. She was the co-founder of IMRA (Iran’s marketing research association) and acted as the association’s president and vice president for 12 years. Now she is the board secretary. Parissa has been a member of ESOMAR for the past 25 years.
In addition to managing the company she has also conducted workshops and seminars and taught courses in marketing research with focus on qualitative methods. Over the past 25 years she has been instrumental in promoting marketing research in Iran.
