Company named in multiple complaints

ESOMAR, the global insights community, working in the interest of members of its community, is notifying its members that multiple complaints have been made against a non-member company: FieldGlobal Market Research Pvt Ltd, with headquarters based in Mumbai.

FieldGlobal had been a member of ESOMAR until January 2015, but its membership was not renewed because several complaints had been filed by ESOMAR members regarding the company’s failure to fulfill its payment obligations on a timely basis. Since then, similar complaints regarding FieldGlobal have been continuously filed with ESOMAR.  

ESOMAR has been in contact with FieldGlobal a number of times to discuss this matter. In August 2017 ESOMAR made it clear to FieldGlobal that it intended to issue a publication to its members notifying them of FieldGlobal’s payment practices unless FieldGlobal would pay all outstanding amounts and on the condition that no additional complaints would be filed with ESOMAR. Although some outstanding amounts were paid to members following these discussions, additional new complaints came to the attention of ESOMAR in October 2017.

As an association responsible for the defense of the interests of its members, in partnership with national associations around the world who have adopted or endorsed the ICC/ESOMAR International Code, ESOMAR now feels that there is sufficient reason to notify  its members of FieldGlobal’s repeated failures to comply with its payment obligations on a timely basis.

We continue to strongly recommend the use of professionals and organisations who have adopted the ICC/ESOMAR Code, either by being members of ESOMAR and/or members of a national association who has adopted or endorsed the ICC/ESOMAR Code.
