Job Announcement: Graphics and Branding Designer

ESOMAR, the global voice of the data, research, and insights community, is pleased to announce that it is seeking to recruit a new team member for its Marketing and Communications service ideally to start April 2021.

This junior role, reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, will play a role in the design of our communications collaterals.

We are looking for an emerging talent, who is keen to take up a first opportunity to showcase their talent and work in an international environment. We seek an effective communicator, sensitive to cultural differences and passionate to work with people; a driven individual whose attention to detail is impeccable.

We're looking for someone comfortable working with both digital and print projects, who is able to make magic out of their use of Adobe suite products and to contribute to the growth of our digital suite of products and services.   

The succesful applicant will have knowledge (practical or academic) in DTP and design for print collaterals and have experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. The applicant can design marketing materials for campaigns, websites, landing pages, and social media. Applicants having basic coding, CSS, and Javascript knowledge or skills in motion graphics (After Effects, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro X) are considered distinct advantages.

Role and Responsibilities 

ESOMAR seeks to recruit a Graphics and Branding Designer responsible for developing and designing collaterals and supporting efforts to ensure brand alignment across our products and services.  

The Graphics and Branding Designer is responsible for creating marketing and advertising collaterals as part of the overall digital communications strategy for ESOMAR and supporting the success of projects and initiatives carried out by the organisation.  

The Graphics and Branding Designer takes initiative to strengthen, develop, and evolve our branding together with the Senior Multimedia Programmes Producer, as well as the collaterals ensuring the ESOMAR brand is associated with innovation, community, and excellence.   

Leads on the production of marketing and advertising collaterals  

  • Ensures that collaterals produced are in alignment with branding guidelines  
  • Leads on the creation of branded collaterals in support of these products and services  
  • In collaboration with product owners, works to keep the brand fresh and evolving in line with organisational objectives and external trends 
  • Supports the Marketing and Communications service in executing the strategy  

Contributes to the effective deployment of the Marketing and Communications strategy 

  • Coordinates and executes projects of Marketing and Communications team:  
    • Creates branded materials in support of these projects   
    • Creates of branded collaterals for these projects   
    • Executes the adopted branding strategy in support of ESOMAR’s brand positioning  

Strengthens the brand and ensures brand consistency across all platforms, products and services and supports   

  • Develops templates and working processes to allow product and service owners to develop content in keeping with the brand  
  • Develops new concepts to meet evolving organisations needs  
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Multimedia Programmes Producer, develops new branding concepts and opportunities   
  • Under the guidance of the Senior Multimedia Programmes Producer, liaises with external suppliers to support the creation, delivery, and dissemination of branded collaterals  
  • Curates, together with other team members, all public-facing digital touchpoints of ESOMAR  

Works within the Design working group to:  

  • Continuously improve the user experience, look, and feel of our products and services  
  • Advise the organisation to maximise the impact, reach and effect of its brand
